The Baby is a Month Old!

I am not good at blogging. I guess because I don't find it the most important thing to do in my life. I do wish I was a little better because it is fun to look at the blogs. I am so bad at it that my little boy is now a MONTH OLD!
Well..... our little man came to us on June 2nd. The due date was the 31st of May and so he was a little late. I was induced on the 1st at about noon. I was dialated at a 3 still and only 50%. I continued to stay that way for pretty much the whole day. This little boy did not want to come. Around 6 the Dr. came and broke my water and I still stayed the same until about 3 a.m. Finally he was ready to come. I only pushed for maybe about 30 minutes and he was here. at 4:12 a.m. He was 9 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long. He came out with his eyes wide open and playing with his tongue. I am so glad that I got induced I couldn't imagine going any more days with a 9 lb baby in me.

This is when we got him ready to go home. He has huge feet and hands.
My sister in-law Tasha does Colorsplash photography and she came over to the house and was so nice to take pictures of the baby. If any of you are interested in having her do pictures for you check out her site at colorsplashphotography.blogspot.com. She did such a good job.
There will be more pictures to follow of him one month old :)

My new Niece.....And the babes room!

Even though I am not the crafty, artsy, decorator I have had fun finding things and putting things together for the babies room. As I just got bigger and bigger it was starting to get a little harder and I basically said enough.... I think it turned out nice.

The crib and chair were given by Jason's brother and his wife. Thanks for letting us use it, it helped keep the costs down :) (which we like)

I took the dresser from my mom and dad's did it all up!

This is the crib, as soon as we figure out a name my sister is going to make those cute little name letters to go over it. I have a few other wall hangings that I haven't put up yet. Hopefully I will get to it.

I had a family shower last Saturday and I got a lot of great stuff. I feel that I am ready now and he can come if he would like to. I didn't put up any belly shots, I am not sure how I feel about peoples comments on my belly these days. I know I am big......but there is only one little guy in there.

On April 28th i got to meet my new niece Emmy! She came early in the morning at an inconvient time for the everybody to come see her. Early that morning I was able to sneak away and see the the proud parents and the precious babe. I am excited she is here safe and sound.

Kyle and the baby.

Kylee, the babe, and Taryn ( Kylee's Fiancee) For those of you who didn't know, we will get another addition to the Sturdevant Family in August. We love you both!

She is so beautiful! I think that she looks like a Sturdevant... we will see as she gets bigger. Both parents are good looking so she can take after either.

Me (my swollen self) and my new niece :)

The proud Papa! I love seeing Bubba so happy, you can't help but smile. I love my big little brother.

Not much time left.....

I have learned many things on my mission and I remember talking with my mother about it one day. She told me that I haven't even begun to use the many things that I had learned and that I will see it as I continue with my life. She would know since she served, and I felt in my heart that she was right. I have seen how a mission has helped me in my marriage now, and I will continue to see it as my family grows. My soul was touched by a quote that was given to me and it is by President Hinckley, " Many young women are serving missions. Many are preparing to serve not because they aren't married or have nothing else to do, but because they have the desire to serve, and therefore are being called to the work. The reason so many are going is because in the next genreation Heavenly Father will be sending his Priesthood Army to the earth. He wants to send them to mothers who have properly been trained and taught in the Gospel. And what better training can a young women have then that of serving a mission." This quote has so much meaning to me now. I know that figuring out my sons physical needs will be easy, its the emotional part that I get nervous about. I am so thankful that I got to serve. I know that my mom is right and that the things that I learned on my mission will help me as a mother. Here I am at 30 weeks. I can't beleive I have only 10 more to go. I hope it goes by fast but not to fast because I don't want it creeping up on me. This is the space for out little guy. I somehow have to figure out how I am going to fill it. I have a crib and I just ordered the bedding today. I am not good at decorating so I hope that it will turn out good. Luckly, I have my sister who has taken this road before me. I continue to ask her questions and for her help and she has been more than willing to help out. I am thankful for her.

Update

Here is a little update on what has been happening. Jason and I celebreted our year Anniversary on the 10th. We had a nice relaxing gettaway for the weekend which was much needed. I felt really bad because my blood pressure had gone up and I had lots of swelling in my legs and feet from a roadtrip to Indiana. My grandmother passed away and I attended her funeral. It was really good to be able to go. It was nice to be there for my Dad and see people that I haven't seen in 10 yrs. Along with that our house is going to be finished this month. We are way EXCITED! It has been a rough go and Jason really should take all the credit. Things haven't really gone that smoothe but we love our new home. I am not good at taking pictures but I do have some. Also, our little guy is doing great. I feel him move all the time and I love it. Jason finally got to feel him kick the other night. I have been trying so hard to get him to feel him. We are slowly preparing for his arrival. We have thrown out a few names here and there but nothing really yet. I kinda wanna look at him first and make sure that his name fits.

This is my belly at about 24 weeks. I swear its really huge at night time. The students are starting to ask me at school. They are so cute. They tell me what to name him. They are getting to be really helpful when I drop things on the ground Which is quite often. Torie and Haley in the back seat of the car that we rode in. I think we all tried to do some sleep we were quite snug in the car. Between everybody we had 4 laptops.

My mom watching a movie and eating a yummy cookie that Tasha made for us. Thanks Tasha for the cookies they were really good. Brandon told everyone you were a good cook. :)

Torie and Kylee (aka "the screamer") She is known for that name from the Sturdevant side of the family. I think she has grown out of it. We love you Ky! Also, some old dudes at Cracker Barrel asked if she was related to Paris Hilton. What? No lie. We all got a good laugh from it. Go Kylee!
Dinner the first night we were there. All of my Dad's siblings were there. Except for his brother Donnie that passed away a few years ago.

Torie and our cousin Zach. He was a hoot and a little to smart for his own good. He couldn't remember peoples names so he made up his own. He has lots of energy and a big heart.

FINALLY! Pictures of the house.
This is our fireplace and a glimpse of the couches.

The lovely kitchen. I really do love our kitchen and I love our cabinets. Everything's has worked out nicely. Can't wait till I can live there.

It's a baby......

We had the big ultrasound done this Thursday and found out that we are having a baby boy. Jason and I are excited. Jason knew right away when he saw the ultrasound. I was trying to look for all the body parts to make sure that there were two arms, two legs and then everything else. Then of all things Jason had to ask about a cleft palet, and a cleft lip. When we walked away, he laughed and said "of course I would have to ask that." It was so cute to see him drink. I am so glad that we can start planning, and buying clothes.

Christmas!

The pictures are all mixed in. I try to get them in a little bit of an order but it didn't work. Last year I got to spend Christmas morning with my niece, and this year I got to spend it with my nephew. He is such a cutie, I love seeing little kids on Christmas morning. It will be so much fun to have kids of my own. :) This was Christmas Eve. My Grandfather fell this year and hurt his hip. So we went to the Care center to celebrate. It was really nice. He was in a lot of pain.
Awww....Christmas morning so fun. I think we got up about 8 a.m.
At the Christmas Eve party I let my three year old niece take my camera around and take pictures. She didn't do to bad.
She got some really good photos and everyones personality in it. Scarry Bubba!
I did get one of her. What a sweet heart! Love her tons. She signs I love you to me since she won't give me a kiss.
I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday. Mine was really nice. I was so happy to spend it with my family. The break from work was wonderful and much needed. I got plenty of sleep. My favorite part about the Holidays is spending it with the fam. The one thing we can take to the eternities with us. :)
